Altar to an unknown god
off-site installation, Zebegény,  2019

Based on the theory that there was an altar in the ancient Greek Pantheon dedicated to the unknown
god. The term „agnosthos theos” can be semantically interpreted in various ways, meaning either
unknown or unknowable. I expanded this unknowability to encompass the creators and temporal/
geographical determinations. Following Hellenistic architectural traditions, the altar erected and
designed to integrate with the natural surroundings. On the unmarked altar, only traces of natural
phenomena and weather are present.
