Cylinder seals were used as a medium in ancient times and had different purposes over history. The characters from the C programming language represents digitized data and code, metadata that is the usually hidden infrastructure for information with which we interact every day.
The digital prints on traditional medium is associated to our contemporary relation with the digital world. The use of a medium from a different historical time and mixing the analogue and digital technology reflects on the uncertainty of our time. The mixed technologies are aimed to evoke an ambivalent feeling of our contemporary time.
